(20:27:59) justin: ok, so, you know the relation between cookies and sessions?
(20:28:40) mike: yes
(20:28:58) mike: you cook the mull into the cookie, then we all have a big session
so, i'm infected. in two places. at once. wow, i'm really good at this.
in my tooth, badly enough that the dentist gave me the choice of root canal treatment (which *might* work), or just yanking out the rotting carcas.
in my foot, from a blister that went bad.
guess the whole not-paying-much-attention-to-my-wellbeing thing is having fairly predictable results.
dentist put me on two types of antibiotics, and a trip to the doctors tomorrow may lead to more. w00t.
well, we are still at no wins for the season, but tonight was the best game so far for the Randoms, a mixed basketball team i play in on tuesday nights.
we lost by 1 point, and were leading with less than 30 seconds to go.
we're still living up to our name when the pressure is on, but more games like this will build our understanding of each other i think.
on a personal note, my fitness seems to be improving. no cramps this time, and i managed to actually leave the ground a few times and run a bit without feeling too much pain.
onwards and upwards!
trying to get geoip info out of the X-Forwarded-For header at work, as all our php apps sit behind a couple of boxes running pound for load-balancing.
a bunch of the values we get in X-Forwarded-For are multiples, separated by commas, so the trick is to figure out which IP to use.
looking at the http RFC:
Multiple message-header fields with the same field-name may be present in a message if and only if the entire field-value for that
ever wondered what the pecking order between "civilian organisations" (like say the FBI, CIA or umm the NCIS) in the U.S. is?
yeah, me neither, but the taxi driver who brought me home today does. particularly the NCIS. not so clear cut as the others, but gee, its a good show anyway.
because all things have pecking orders. *all things*, that is.

so, we've finally put Fizzy live.
still a bit bare-bones, but its a nice platform to build on.
my heart went crazy today. walking up the stairs at milsons point station, it just starting beating like crazy. settled down after i stopped and took a few deep breaths, but WTF? not good.
i wasn't short of breath at all, so i'm guessing its stress related. too much work stress, coffee and breakup stress. did i mention stress?
think i'll take a short break from work soon, and book a week off in august or september.
been integrating the Zend Framework into a bunch of code at $WORK, including the validator code.
while i've been happy with it so far, just got bitten with an upgrade from 0.93 to RC2 - the validator interface completely changed without any warning in the changelog.
think i'll spend more time looking at diffs and less time looking at changelogs next time i bump the version numbers.
after 5 years with lauren, i'm single again.
feeling a bit sad about it all really, but we're still friends.
